It’s a crazy “sex for merchandise” scandal. I’m staying single forever!
How fab are these new earrings? I picked these up at the Nordstrom sale as well (for a mere $5!). The coral and gold are perfect for summer to show off your tan (hopefully fake). They’re super lightweight too which is a must have if you plan on wearing earrings all day.
I managed to squeeze in some MAJOR shopping at the Nordstrom sale this weekend. They had a ton of great buys. It’s still going on now so I definitely suggest checking it out. These shoes were one of my many purchases. I love that they lace up the back into a bow. So girly and chic! Plus they’re open toe which is perfect for summer! The best part of course was they were on sale!
The most beautiful clothes that can dress a woman are the arms of the man she loves. But for those who haven’t had the fortune of finding this happiness, I am there.

So this does not trump the Selena, Ashley, Justin video but it comes pretty close! Go Harvard baseball! (clearly I’m not the only one obsessed with this song)
Everyone knows that I’m secretly a 4 year old trapped in a 20-something body. The Colour Me Good Kate Moss Coloring Book is clearly PERFECT for me. Kate Moss is an ICON so carrying a book around with images of her is completely normal for an adult. (The fact its actually a coloring book is just an added bonus…an AWESOME added bonus!) Someone needs to click through and buy this for me while I go pull out my box of crayons…
Tuesday afternoon I headed up to the Met to see the preview of the Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations exhibit. Since the Met ball was less than 24 hours prior, I obviously walked slowly up the steps posing for imaginary photogs. In my mind I was wearing a long gown, involving sequins and feathers (maybe by McQueen? – but different than Cate Blanchett’s). The paparazzi LOVED me. Then I met up with my friend Arielle and remembered that I am not in fact a famous celebrity and I actually had on a trench coat since it was rainy. When you first enter the exhibit there is a large screen with Schiaparelli (well an actress) and Prada sitting at a table talking to each other. We watched for a minute but it wasn’t that entertaining so we moved onto the good part – the clothes! In the beginning I was afraid it was going to be a big commercial for the Prada 2012 collections. One of the first things we saw was the flame sandal that I could easily go check out in Bergdorf’s shoe salon. However, it turned out to be much more interesting. I was especially drawn to the details in Schiaparelli’s clothing. In all of the jackets the buttons fit with theme she was designing for. On one of her circus jackets, for example, it had acrobats as buttons. Her collaborations with Salvador Dali were amazing. When I initially saw the picture of Anna Wintour’s Prada lobster dress at the Met ball I was unclear why she wanted a crustacean on her dress. However I now realize it was an homage to a Schiaparelli dress that Dali pained a lobster on. There was a piece trimmed in monkey fur – How often does one see that? I was also particularly drawn to a Prada dress that had (of course) feathers. Under the designs were quotes from each of the women that I enjoyed reading. You could really gather a lot of insight about each of them. The main room itself was interesting. It was completely mirrored, which gave it a house of mirrors effect. We honestly may have accidentally bumped into a wall or two. The pieces themselves were displayed in rows of plexi-glass. Behind each piece was a black and white photo of a Schiaparelli design. Surprisingly many of the photos were not entirely static. You would notice she was blinking, or her dress moved ever so slightly which gave it a very cool effect. The exhibit opens to the public today and it is definitely worth checking out!

This video is EVERYTHING! Selena, Ashley and Justin goofing around to the catchiest song “Call Me Maybe” - I think I’ve watched 1000 times. So fun! (I don’t care how old I am…)
